Large District Pleased with Support from Children’s Progress

Dr. Ed Beglane
Principal, Family School 32
Yonkers Public Schools
Yonkers, New York

In implementing Children’s Progress in 29 schools in a large urban district, administrators were impressed by the company’s commitment to supporting educators’ needs.

The Children’s Progress Academic Assessment program has become an integral part of the educational mix for Yonkers Public School District, who started implementing Children’s Progress’ in 29 schools in 2003. The District uses the CPAA to monitor students’ progress and continues to be pleased with the highly detailed reporting functions that allow teachers to target instruction.

According to Dr. Ed Beglane, Principal in one Yonkers school, “The Children's Progress assessment has enhanced the teaching and learning that goes on in our classrooms. The student data is thorough and helpful for the teachers, and the kids love the assessment because it's on the computer. The reports give teachers a snapshot on how their students are progressing, and highlight student strengths and weaknesses.”

Dr. Beglane reports high levels of satisfaction with the support the school has received from Children’s Progress. “We're very happy with the support from Children's Progress – it's clear that they are committed to meeting the needs of our school.”
